Brazebinder
Brazebinder is defined as a
viscous 'gel' type hydrocarbon based product. This type of gel is
basically used to serve as a carrier for mixing with braze alloy powders
and fluxes. This mixing helps to produce an easily dispensable paste.
Saru Silver is a reliable name in the market for its high quality brazebinder.Advantages
Our braze binder has the following advantages over other carriers (primarily water based):
- Brazebinder is very viscous and hence the resulting paste is very homogeneous.
- Brazebinder is very slippery. It can easily be dispensed through automatic paste dispensers or syringes to make a bead at the joint edges.
- Our brazebinder is non-reactive with flux or metal powder.
- It is clean burning and no residues are left.
- It is economical. A small amount of brazebinder is required to mix with metal powder or metal powder plus flux combination.
Saru Silver's brazing alloys are used in varied applications like as follows:
- Steel Brazing: In steel brazing, the brazebinder is mixed
with copper powder to make a paste. This paste can easily be applied
through syringes or automatic paste dispensing machines in a bead
form, which is about the size of about 1 mm diameter. This brazing
is done in cracked ammonia or hydrogen atmosphere.
- Copper Brazing: Our brazebinder is applicable in copper
brazing. It can be mixed with Cu-P powder and braze Cu (mainly
radiators) in belt furnace.
- Brazing Pastes: Mixed with silver brazing powder and
flux, using brazebinder, a paste can be easily made . The paste is
applied and then torch brazed. Such type of brazing pasete formed
with the help of brazebinder is very useful in joining complex
assemblies where use of rods or performs are difficult.
- Dispensable Fluxes: Brazebinder is mixed with our specially formulated powder flux which helps to make a paste. This paste is used in automatic brazing machines.
